Not setting the bar very high, are we? Jerry had one foot in the grave by the time they started playing that song. I saw them play it twice, and both sucked. Of course, that was in '95.

Ironically (at least in terms of this thread), Welnick saved each of the few versions of Unbroken Chain that they did play.

So sad. It might just be the worst song (purely in terms of performance, not composition) that the Dead ever played. Why they ever decided to finally starting working on such a complicated song when Garcia was in such a state of decline, I'll never know.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious. This statement was in response to Zimmer's statement regarding Furthur playing GD songs.
